When Congregation Agudas Achim moved to its new building there were several pieces of art that needed new installations. The She'Ma Sculpture had formerly graced the exterior of the old synagogue. Working with ironsmith Wendell Broussard, Ellen Hunt organized the team of consultants and fundraisers to restore and re-install the artwork. The location at the front of the building, with dedicated lighting, is part of a meditative outdoor room, surrounded by oak and cedar trees and monumental limestone benches. The artwork adds to the definition of this sacred space.
